with the hit that Trent Edwards had last week was a good clean hit. the league just might as well put flags on the qb and say you cant hit the qb at all, so they can sit in the pocket all day and throw 40-50- 60 yard passes all day long. this is pro-football not the powder puff league.

when it comes to offsetting penalties. just dont wave off the flag like nothing happen, do something about it. (1) have both players sit out a series. doesnt matter if  the drive goes 10, 30,80 yards , or until the team punts the ball, kick a field goal or score. then on the next series both players can come back in and play. (2) which ever player commits the second offence is ejected from the game. for the pros fine them 5 grand per offence and give the money to charity and not back into the league( like players union or the owners) give it to like children hospitals or rec- leagues in that city. with college fine them 500 hundred smacks from there scholarships and give it to charity to the local community. time to play football with honar and pride not like street thugs. have enough of it on the streets with pro and college players, dont need it on the field.
